Hollywood Stuidos

Hollywood Studios was the final Disney theme park we had on our list to visit, water parks aside. Having read the guidebook we bought back in the UK, we got up early and hurriedly breakfasted and left the hotel. As soon as we arrived at the park we made a bee-line for Toy Story Mania, a shoot-em-up style attraction.
Naturally Matty got the highest score and once again crowed his way around the park for the next 10 minutes.

We had fast passes for Star Tours, a Star Wars themed ride, Beauty and the Beast and also Indiana Jones. I hoped to have another ride on the backlot tour as I remebered it from our last visit, but sadly it had been closed down in September.

Matty took us on a few rides saluting different film eras, but the animated film ride was closed for refurbishments. Chatting to a park host while Luke was having a character signing, it seems that a large chunk of the park is being redesigned. I guess it has to reinvent itself and provide new experiences to guests who visit more often then Liz and I do, every 17 years !

We watched the Jedi training camp, as none of us was young enough to take part. We avoided the Frozen 5 rides and attractions, princess lovers would have been in their element but we preferred action adventure.

Luke met Mickey Mouse which was a major tick off his list and LIz enjoyed Beauty and the Beast Musical show, so everyone was happy.
There’s not much more to say really apart from the design and build your own light sabre ( oh yeah, Daniel it was really cool). Having been to Hollywood Studios in Paris, the car driving stunt show was exactly the same as in Paris, right down to the French setting.

Both boys seemed to have a pleasant day without too many arguments so pretty good on balance!
