brief report: after arriving and collecting the car, we braved the nutters on the road ( the locals) and navigated to our hotel. Not sure how we arrived in one piece without any collisions as the only highway code rule anyone adheres to is “there aren’t any rules”!

Hotel pleasant but basic compared to some places we’ve stayed. We are looking forward to checking the breakfast tomorrow.

We walked into the city and caught the open top sight seeing bus. There are two circuits\routes and we completed both on a single ticket. After a brief walk to stretch our legs we found a tasty little place for tea. Our thing to taste test was “deep fried pizza” a local speciality. Not kidding. Think of a savoury doughnut but flat with tomato and cheese on top. Liz didn’t like it at all,Char thought it was bearable and I kind of liked it, especially with a basil leaf on top.

Tomorrow back into Naples.
