(Brief) we eventually arrived at hotel after a coach connection of approx 75mins. Hotel large and sprawling. Nine accommodation blocks, three bars, inside and outside stage for entertainment. But at this time of year too dark for outside evening entertainment . Restaurant very pleasant but again a very large seating area. We guess in peak season the place holds approx six or eight hundred people, based on number of rooms. Hotel is on the side of steep hill, so loads of stairs or lengthy ramps everywhere. But ramps tend to be on one end so more walking to get to them. (Pic shows hotel from beach)
Walk down to beach was down steep hill. 15mins. We walked along the water’s edge with the tide lapping at our trainers. To avoid wet feet we changed tactics and moved inland a bit. As it was getting dark we abandoned trying to walk to the lighthouse and headed for the shops instead. General mix of Spanish resort shops, nothing out of ordinary.
Walk back up hill was good. Everyone walked up without stopping. Steeper than Tring hill (Crows nest) but the first section was a similar length. We had a brief rest after first section and continued to hotel entrance. Char(mum) was a legend, and yes, Sophie and Dan you should be v proud.
View down to beach, not sure how well it shows the hill. That was what I referred to as first section.
