We travelled right down the coast to Sorrento, a beautiful small costal town. It was packed with coach loads of tourists which caused the small streets to slow to an amble, rather than the brisk pace we’d been maintaining on previous days. When we got back none of us had closed our exercise rings despite covering 12+ km.
Following a coach load of tourists into a Lemoncello and chocolate shop we were handed an expensive hand rolled chocolate and a cup of Lemoncello cream liqueur. We thought both were amazing but Liz pulled her unhappy face until she was handed a chocolate!

(Main street through Sorrento)
On our way around the town we walked down to the sea front and paused in a cafe for a cappuccino (Char) and a couple of coke zero’s (us). Unexpectedly, the patrons on the table across from us were eating toasties, so we added a brace of ham and cheese toasties to our order.

The main themes for the majority of goods for sale was leather, ceramics or Lemoncello. To gain a flavour or feel for the town think of a posh seaside town with rules blocking the application from any fast food chains or other stores which might spoil the charm of the town.

(One of the cafes where we “people watched” and Char drank another cappuccino. )
The journey home was a bit slow due to the world and his wife making their way home at the same time which was unavoidable due to the sheer number of people out for the day.
Due to their being no restaurants near the hotel and the hotel evening menu being outside our list of menu choices, we headed into Naples. But with the local station only 6mins and a single station hop, taking a combined total of 20 mins door to door, it wasn’t too much hassle. Tea in this occasion was a huge pizza each, although on reflection we could of had two to share. Oh and a glass of something to wash it down

(some things don’t change – lol)
